Golden Fur are pleased to announce their participation in Tectonics Festival (Tel Aviv) as ensemble in residence. They will be performing four times at the festival:
Nov. 18 – Golden Fur New Music show: works by Maya Dunietz, Ben Isaacs, Chikako Morishita, and Ivan Wyschnegradsky.
Nov. 19 – Improvisations: the members of Golden Fur team up with local musicians to present a concert of improvised music in a variety of groups.
Nov. 20 – Golden Fur perform works by Klaus Lang and James Rushford, together with the Israeli Contemporary Players
Nov. 21 – Focus on Hans W. Koch – Golden Fur perform Keys and Knives as part of a larger concert featuring the music of Koch.
Golden Fur are involved in two major projects for the SUPERSENSE Festival of the Ecstatic.
Nov. 7 – Golden Fur give the Australian premier of Jakob Ullman’s Disappearing Musics, with good friends and long-time collaborators Kim Tan (flutes), Lizzy Welsh (violin), and Michiko Ogawa (clarinets).
Nov. 8 – Discrete / Oblique. A tribute to the music of Brian Eno, in celebration of the 40th birthday of Discrete Music. Golden Fur will perform together with The Necks, Leo Abrahams, Matthew Brown, and David Coulter.
All concerts to take place at the Melbourne Arts Centre.
As part of the long running Monday Evening Concert series in Los Angeles (Zipper Hall), Golden Fur will give the US premier of Jakob Ullman’s Disappearing Musics.
The concert will take place on January 9, and will feature Golden Fur friends and collaborators: Michael Pisaro, Ulrich Krieger, and Christine Tavolacci.
